One of the most important subjects given attention in the worldview of every school of thought is the human knowledge from the viewpoint of the said school of thought. Given its understanding of the human being and his distinctive talents and potentials, every school of thought tries to provide answers to inevitable questions - questions about human being which have been posed since time immemorial. The answer to these questions is inextricably interwoven with the insight of every school of thought on the universe. The present book briefly examines the theistic insight of Islam on the human being and discusses in this connection such issues as anthropology's relationship with theology, the relationship between anthropology and prophethood,the relationship between anthropology and the resurrection,the relationship between anthropology and ethics, man's natural disposition, definition of Fitrah, Islam as the religion of Fițrah, free will and the philosophy behind prophethood, and several other significant issues in this connection
